It had been nearly a year since I've been meaning to make these earrings. From the moment I purchased these stones I knew exactly where they would go. Cut by my beloved friend, Angel in Taxco Mexico, these stones are precious to me. The Blue Obsidian is rare to find, and this stone is extremely fragile, a tiny bit of pressure and they crumble in your hands. Angel also cut these beautiful Garnets, and in my own way I dedicate these earrings to him. I hope my craftsmanship does his work justice, and I miss the time I spent in his workshop in Taxco.
These earrings are timeless, classy and straight up beautiful, and I must say that I am damn well proud of this creation. A solid 4 hour job, and handmade by me in my Montreal studio from Blue Obsidian, Garnets and Sterling Silver.
