One of the last Matrix Opal relics I have left from my adventure in Mexico last year- before our world seemed to have stopped in it's heels. I've held on to this beauty for a long time. She's really an incredible stone- the Matrix, meaning mother or earth, refers to the rock in which the Opal silica is formed. The rock is naturally pink and purple, while the Opal silica forming within the rock is pink, and purple and blue with a hint of green in her depth. Jesus, this stone takes me elsewhere. So unique and so damn beautiful. I built her a throne, two thick layers of sterling where she sits off, for the world to see. A wide, half round band, with the marker's mark stamped on her back. This ring is a size 7 and is handmade by me in my Montreal studio.
